Gudla is a small village of 580 hectares in Keshoraipatan Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gudla depends on KESHORAIPATAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gudla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gudla's pin code is 323602[3], and village code is 02748400. The area of Gudla is segregated as 447.31 hectares irrigated area, 3.92 hectares unirrigated, the 9.06 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 119.72 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gudla has One post office (Gamach B.O). The village is connected with a single bus service. Gudla has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Gudla is a census village in the district of Bundi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 778 and has total administration over 126 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Gudla has 105 children, 63 boys and 42 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 159 (20.44%) males constitute 86 (11.05%) of the population and females 73 (9.38%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 98 (12.60%) males constitute 53 (6.81%) of the population and females 45 (5.78%).

The workforce is 216 male, 151 female with 255 (69.48%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 198 males and 57 females. 120 males and 38 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 44 male and 10 female agricultural labor. 112 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KESHORAIPATAN and Bundi to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
