Guman is a small village of 811 hectares in Gogunda Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Guman depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Guman is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Guman's pin code is 313708[4], and village code is 03073700. The area of Guman is segregated as 42 hectares irrigated area, 33 hectares unirrigated, the 201 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 493 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Guman is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1506 and has total administration over 310 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 22 (1.46%) males constitute 12 (0.80%) of the population and females 10 (0.66%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1148 (76.23%) males constitute 579 (38.45%) of the population and females 569 (37.78%).

The workforce is 429 male, 399 female with 436 (52.66%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 392 males and 44 females. 351 males and 40 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 female agricultural labor. 392 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell juggery and make their living.
