Gunti is a small village of 410 hectares in Buhana Tehsil in Jhunjhunu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gunti depends on KHETRI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 50.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gunti is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Gunti's pin code is 333515[4], and village code is 00725800. The area of Gunti is segregated as 50 hectares irrigated area, 300 hectares unirrigated, the 49 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 10.88 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gunti has One post office (Gunti B.O) and One public telephone. Gunti has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Gunti is a census village in the district of Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1794 and has total administration over 371 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Gunti has 203 children, 124 boys and 79 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 220 (12.26%) males constitute 117 (6.52%) of the population and females 103 (5.74%).

The workforce is 410 male, 320 female with 438 (60.0%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 367 males and 71 females. 180 males and 40 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 males. 292 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of KHETRI and Jhunjhunu to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
