Gura is a small village of 1917 hectares in Siwana Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gura depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 284.92% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Gura is also surrounded by Two lakes. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell wood furniture and make their living.
