Gurha is a small village of 994 hectares in Hindoli Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Gurha depends on BUNDI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 35.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Gurha is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Gurha's pin code is 323025[3], and village code is 02705900. The area of Gurha is segregated as 200 hectares irrigated area, 72 hectares unirrigated, the 128 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 576 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Gurha has One post office (Guda Gokulpura B.O) and One public telephone. Gurha has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Gurha is a census village in the district of Bundi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 918 and has total administration over 175 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Gurha has 127 children, 64 boys and 63 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 383 (41.72%) males constitute 193 (21.02%) of the population and females 190 (20.70%).

The workforce is 282 male, 222 female with 268 (53.17%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 236 males and 32 females. 189 males and 24 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 4 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 236 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bundi to sell juggary and make their living.
