Guriya is a small village of 257 hectares in Rajgarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Guriya depends on RAJGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 46.26% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Guriya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Guriya's pin code is 301408[4], and village code is 00913400. The area of Guriya is segregated as 148.38 hectares irrigated area, 42.28 hectares unirrigated, the 24.53 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 42.04 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Guriya is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 558 and has total administration over 88 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 40 (7.17%) males constitute 24 (4.30%) of the population and females 16 (2.87%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 294 (52.69%) males constitute 163 (29.21%) of the population and females 131 (23.48%).

The workforce is 138 male, 71 female with 201 (96.17%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 136 males and 65 females. 64 males and 56 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 8 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of RAJGARH and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
