Guriya is a small village of 791 hectares in Sumerpur Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Guriya depends on Sojat, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 190.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Guriya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Guriya's pin code is 306708[4], and village code is 02401300. The area of Guriya is segregated as 212 hectares irrigated area, 331 hectares unirrigated, the 52 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 196 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Guriya has One post office (Sanderao S.O) and Twenty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Guriya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Guriya is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1394 and has total administration over 308 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Guriya has 186 children, 102 boys and 84 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 312 (22.38%) males constitute 153 (10.98%) of the population and females 159 (11.41%).

The workforce is 333 male, 69 female with 399 (99.25%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 331 males and 68 females. 103 males and 7 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 83 male and 43 female agricultural labor. 3 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sojat and Pali to sell earthen pot and make their living.
