Gurpreet “Garry” Sangha is an Indo-Canadian construction entrepreneur and philanthropist from Surrey, British Columbia.[2] He is the co-founder and CEO of the CCI Group.
Gurpreet Sangha was born in the hamlet of Chahalpur, located in the district of Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India to Ajit Sangha and Sukhwinder Kaur. The younger of two children, Sangha has an elder sister named Sandeep. At the age of 18, Sangha immigrated to Canada along with his parents after being sponsored by his sister.[1] [3]
Sangha founded Crystal Consulting Inc., a construction firm specializing in drywalling in 2005 along with his brother-in-law Kuldeep Singh Chohan and his father Ajit Singh Sangha. [4] [1] With time, Sangha would add more divisions like construction management, waterproofing, and masonry.[5]
Sangha and the CCI Group have regularly donated for different social causes, especially to organizations working in mental health. Some of the causes and organizations who have benefitted from Sangha's philanthropic contributions are Children’s Hospital Foundation [6], The Canucks for Kids Fund [6], The Food Bank [6], the City of Backpacks for Kids Program [6], Canadian Mental Health Association [6], Urban Resilience Opportunities for Kids [7], Here 4 Peers, ICBA Wellness, Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation [8], Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation [9], BC Children's Hospital, and the Giving Hearts Gala.
