Hanza, also known as HANZA Holding..[1], is a Swedish manufacturing company. Hanza’s concept is so called manufacturing clusters, production units that are geographically close to each other in order to enable an efficient supply chain[2] where lead times are shortened and economical and environmental costs can be cut. The company calls this "All you need is one", which refers to the ability to provide for the customers' manufacturing needs within one cluster. Hanza also offers advisory services on manufacturing. Hanza manufactures a wide range of products depending on the customers needs; from thick metal parts to electronic products. The company has a number of notable customers, among them Saab, Epiroc, ABB and Siemens.
The company operates in Sweden [3][4][5][6][7][8], Finland, Germany[9], Czech Republic, China, Estonia[10][11] and Poland. The first manufacturing cluster was launched in the Swedish region Värmland Country[12][13].
Hanza was founded in 2008[14]. Today, the company has sales exceeding SEK 2 billion and about 1 700 employees in seven countries[15]. Since 2014, Hanza is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm[16]
