Haripura is a small village of 573 hectares in Hindoli Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Haripura depends on BUNDI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 15.56% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Haripura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Haripura's pin code is 323024[3], and village code is 02713700. The area of Haripura is segregated as 79.47 hectares irrigated area, 17.15 hectares unirrigated, the 8.96 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 196.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Haripura has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Haripura is a census village in the district of Bundi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 843 and has total administration over 157 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Haripura has 146 children, 70 boys and 76 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 83 (9.85%) males constitute 47 (5.58%) of the population and females 36 (4.27%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 101 (11.98%) males constitute 52 (6.17%) of the population and females 49 (5.81%).

The workforce is 251 male, 217 female with 318 (67.95%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 181 males and 137 females. 133 males and 121 females are considered as the main cultivators. 150 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bundi to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
