Harsana is a small village of 1437 hectares in Lachhmangarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Harsana depends on RAJGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Harsana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Harsana's pin code is 321607[4], and village code is 00934500. The area of Harsana is segregated as 772 hectares irrigated area, 423 hectares unirrigated, the 101 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 141 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Harsana has One post office (Harsana B.O) and Thirty Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Harsana has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Harsana is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 6318 and has total administration over 1012 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Harsana has 1078 children, 600 boys and 478 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1189 (18.82%) males constitute 634 (10.03%) of the population and females 555 (8.78%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1116 (17.66%) males constitute 591 (9.35%) of the population and females 525 (8.31%).

According to a census 2011 report, 3371 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1786 male, 1585 female with 1838 (54.52%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1401 males and 437 females. 820 males and 183 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 206 male and 191 female agricultural labor. 1533 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of RAJGARH and Alwar to sell earthen pot and make their living.
