Hatri is a small village of 1883 hectares in Shahbad Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Hatri depends on Baran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Hatri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Hatri's pin code is 325217[4], and village code is 03935300. The area of Hatri is segregated as 20 hectares irrigated area, 137 hectares unirrigated, the 76 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 19 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 464 male, 429 female with 643 (72.0%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 372 males and 271 females. 233 males and 145 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 117 male and 120 female agricultural labor. 250 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baran to sell ghee and make their living.
