INNO Models is a Hong Kong manufacturer of scale model cars based in Macau and introduced in 2016, and offers a wide range of Die-cast toys collectibles. .[1]
Currently the company has two sub-brands - INNO-64 and INNO-18 where INNO-64 produces 1/64 scale diecast models and INNO-18 produces 1/18 scale resin models.[2] It has also established it's own production factory located in South China, and from there products are distributed to around the world and to individual customers.
All INNO64 models are made from die casting, a metal casting process that involves feeding molten nonferrous alloys into dies under high pressure and at high speed to rapidly create molded products; with some parts made from steel and quality copper. Generally, each model comes with a detailed plastic base, rubber tires and also plastic side mirrors to complete the look.
Upon completion, most models will be fitted in a clear acrylic display case with a base; while in some exceptions such as special or limited edition castings, they will be placed in a custom box depending on each casting.[3]
INNO18, another sub-brand of INNO Models, makes its models entirely from resin. Similar to INNO64, models also comes with rubber wheels and a display casing; but for INNO18, models come with a detailed metal base.
INNO Models initially, was made with adult collectors as their primary target audience; but through the years, INNO models' balance between price and quality has made it increasingly popular among teen-age collectors particularly in Asia. Most have come to collect INNO models ever since their release of the Nissan Skyline GTR model in 2021 which drove the craze among the collectors with more collectors eager to get their hands on the casting. Currently INNO64 has already released several limited edition R34 models, including chrome and carbon editions.[4]
A couple of 1/64 scale entries for the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon celebration from INNO64 includes the Nissan GT-R R35 'Top Secret' and the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 'Endless Advan'. INNO64 has also manufactured several of the featured cars in 1/64 scale, such as the iconic Ferrari F40 LB Works and also the Mazda RX-7 LBWK.[5]
