Inspectorio is a private technology company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The company was founded in July 2016 by Carlos Moncayo, David Klein, Fernando Moncayo, and Luis Moncayo. Originally based in Hong Kong, the company moved its headquarters to Minneapolis after participating in the Target + Techstars accelerator program.[1]
Following a successful Series A funding round in July 2018, Inspectorio’s investors include leading venture capital investors, Techstars, and Fortune 500 companies.[2] Inspectorio sells technology for supply chain inspections and compliance.
Carlos Moncayo, Fernando Moncayo, and Luis Moncayo founded ASIAM Business Group in 2003, where they first worked on the supply chain industry. ASIAM Business Group aims to bridge the commerce gap between Asia and Latin America by facilitating trade and quality inspections.[3]
During their time at ASIAM Business Group, Inspectorio’s founders experienced the challenges of traditional inspection methods in the global supply chain, an industry that relied on manual processes for quality inspections. In 2016, Inspectorio was founded with the vision of bringing technology and transparency to the supply chain industry by digitizing inspection processes and facilitating the sharing of information between key stakeholders.[4]
Inspectorio “was part of the first class of 10 start-ups in a retail-focused boot camp that Target hosted […] in partnership with Boulder, Colo.-based Techstars, which runs similar accelerators around the world.”[5] After the program, Inspectorio moved its headquarters to Minneapolis, Minnesota. In January 2017, Inspectorio received $3.7 million in a seed funding round led by Target.[5]
In 2018 Inspectorio received $10 million in a Series A funding round.[2]
Now, Inspectorio offers technology solutions for both quality and compliance, and serves to small and large retailers, vendors, and factories.[6]
Inspectorio Sight is a software solution for supply chain quality inspections. Inspectorio Sight is designed to digitize inspection processes to connect previously disconnected supply chains. The technology walks users through standardized inspection processes, and collects and shares inspection data in real-time.[6]
With its advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence features, Inspectorio Sight is capable of bringing predictive and prescriptive analytics to the supply chain industry.
Inspectorio Rise is a software solution for supply chain compliance. Inspectorio Rise allows organizations to maintain visibility over their supply chain and ensures suppliers and factories uphold different compliance requirements and regulations (e.g. labor, environmental, etc.).
Inspectorio Rise has received recognition for bringing forward-thinking solutions to the apparel industry in the topics of traceability and transparency by the Sourcing Journal.[7]
Previously headquartered in Hong Kong, Inspectorio moved its global headquarters to Minneapolis, Minnesota after participating in the Target + Techstars accelerator program.[8] Inspectorio opened its Asia headquarters in 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Inspectorio also has offices in Minsk, Belarus and Hangzhou, China.[9]
