The International Academy for Clinical Hematology (IACH) is a global initiative founded by a group of physicians to promote good clinical practice in the field of hematology. The demand for continuing academic education of hematologists is growing worldwide, particularly in terms of clinical skills for patient management, standardization of treatment procedures, and comprehensive care across different fields of hematology.[1] Hematology is a rapidly evolving medical specialty, with new pathophysiological findings and therapies being introduced regularly, including targeted therapies and immunotherapy.[2] The development of new drugs is accompanied by a need for sharing experiences and knowledge to improve the quality of patient care and treatment.[3] To achieve these goals, health professionals worldwide must cooperate under a common umbrella to share their knowledge, methods, and skills and promote healthcare capacity building. The IACH aims to facilitate this cooperation and promote excellence in hematology by providing a platform for sharing scientific and clinical knowledge.[4]
The International Academy for Clinical Hematology (IACH) mission is to promote and advance all aspects of clinical hematology, including translational and clinical research, education, and dissemination of knowledge.[5]
The IACH aims to provide a platform for scientists, physicians, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders involved in the broader field of hematology to share their experiences and develop collaborations, with a special focus on clinical practice.[6][7][8]
The IACH strives to fulfill the unmet needs that are not covered by other sister societies and aims to attract a broader audience. By facilitating the exchange of scientific and clinical knowledge, the IACH aims to enhance the quality of patient care and treatment and promote excellence in hematology.[9]
