Itera is a small village of 820 hectares in Lachhmangarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Itera depends on GOVINDGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Itera is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Itera's pin code is 301021[4], and village code is 00926400. The area of Itera is segregated as 663 hectares irrigated area, 109 hectares unirrigated, remaining 48 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Itera has One post office (Itera B.O) and One public telephone. Itera has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Itera is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2818 and has total administration over 427 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Itera has 422 children, 215 boys and 207 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 762 (27.04%) males constitute 369 (13.09%) of the population and females 393 (13.95%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 839 (29.77%) males constitute 443 (15.72%) of the population and females 396 (14.05%).

The workforce is 772 male, 737 female with 1166 (77.27%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 663 males and 503 females. 479 males and 392 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 59 male and 65 female agricultural labor. 343 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GOVINDGARH and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
