Jahanpur is a small village of 286 hectares in Ramgarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jahanpur depends on GOVINDGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jahanpur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jahanpur's pin code is 301026[4], and village code is 00844000. The area of Jahanpur is segregated as 215 hectares irrigated area, 41 hectares unirrigated, the 18 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 12 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jahanpur is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1338 and has total administration over 215 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GOVINDGARH and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
