Jaitpur is a small village of 373 hectares in Gangapur Tehsil in Sawai Madhopur district, also known for Ranthambore National Park in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jaitpur depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 122.51% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Jaitpur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jaitpur's pin code is 322203[4], and village code is 01270400. The area of Jaitpur is segregated as 122.51 hectares irrigated area, 134.26 hectares unirrigated, the 44.92 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 71.66 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jaitpur has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Jaitpur is a census village in the district of Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1832 and has total administration over 332 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 596 (32.53%) males constitute 308 (16.81%) of the population and females 288 (15.72%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 120 (6.55%) males constitute 66 (3.60%) of the population and females 54 (2.95%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GANGAPUR CITY and Sawai Madhopur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
