Jakhli is a small village of 1485 hectares in Makrana Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jakhli depends on Makrana, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 200.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jakhli is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Jakhli's pin code is 341502[4], and village code is 01884800. The area of Jakhli is segregated as 200 hectares irrigated area, 870.41 hectares unirrigated, the 295 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 120 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jakhli has One post office (Jakhali B.O) and Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Jakhli has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Jakhli is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4366 and has total administration over 793 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Jakhli has 608 children, 343 boys and 265 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 1027 (23.52%) males constitute 539 (12.35%) of the population and females 488 (11.18%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 7 (0.16%) males constitute 5 (0.11%) of the population and females 2 (0.05%).

The workforce is 1063 male, 276 female with 820 (61.24%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 777 males and 43 females. 61 males and 15 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 15 males. 519 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Makrana and Nagaur to sell ghee and make their living.
