Jalsoo is a small village of 214 hectares in Amber Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jalsoo depends on Chomu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 133.51% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jalsoo is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jalsoo's pin code is 303701[4], and village code is 01570500. The area of Jalsoo is segregated as 133.51 hectares irrigated area, 47.58 hectares unirrigated, the 21.29 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 11.88 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jalsoo has One post office (Jalsu B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Jalsoo has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Jalsoo is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1563 and has total administration over 258 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Jalsoo has 215 children, 126 boys and 89 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 249 (15.93%) males constitute 121 (7.74%) of the population and females 128 (8.19%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 273 (17.47%) males constitute 133 (8.51%) of the population and females 140 (8.96%).

According to a census 2011 report, 407 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 328 male, 79 female with 382 (93.86%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 306 males and 76 females. 78 males and 51 females are considered as the main cultivators. 25 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chomu and Jaipur to sell ghee and make their living.
