Jana is a small village of 935 hectares in Sumerpur Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jana depends on Sumerpur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 451.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jana's pin code is 306901[4], and village code is 02471400. The area of Jana is segregated as 529 hectares irrigated area, 307 hectares unirrigated, the 67 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 32.05 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jana is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1049 and has total administration over 233 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 241 (22.97%) males constitute 116 (11.06%) of the population and females 125 (11.92%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sumerpur and Pali to sell earthen pot and make their living.
