Jantora is a small village of 471 hectares in Garhi Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jantora depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jantora is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jantora's pin code is 327001[4], and village code is 03411100. The area of Jantora is segregated as 147 hectares irrigated area, 117 hectares unirrigated, the 158.7 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 48 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jantora has One public telephone. Jantora has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Jantora is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1357 and has total administration over 275 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Jantora has 212 children, 103 boys and 109 girls.
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 809 (59.62%) males constitute 404 (29.77%) of the population and females 405 (29.85%).

The workforce is 346 male, 344 female with 166 (24.06%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 157 males and 9 females. 67 males and 1 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 50 male and 2 female agricultural labor. 524 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell ghee and make their living.
