Jarela is a small village of 328 hectares in Mangrol Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jarela depends on Mangrol, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Jarela is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jarela's pin code is 325215[4], and village code is 03856700. The area of Jarela is segregated as 232.1 hectares irrigated area, the 33.78 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 62.07 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jarela has One post office (Jarela B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Jarela has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Jarela is a census village in the district of Baran, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 632 and has total administration over 120 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Jarela has 81 children, 39 boys and 42 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 51 (8.07%) males constitute 28 (4.43%) of the population and females 23 (3.64%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 484 (76.58%) males constitute 249 (39.40%) of the population and females 235 (37.18%).

The workforce is 204 male, 187 female with 326 (83.38%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 173 males and 153 females. 100 males and 10 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 58 male and 141 female agricultural labor. 65 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Mangrol and Baran to sell ghee and make their living.
