Jayera is a small village of 188 hectares in Dhaulpur Tehsil in Dholpur district, also known as the land of red stone in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jayera depends on DHAULPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jayera is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jayera's pin code is 328024[3], and village code is 01156700. The area of Jayera is segregated as 152 hectares irrigated area, 19 hectares unirrigated, the 9 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 8 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jayera has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Jayera is a census village in the district of Dholpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1642 and has total administration over 316 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Jayera has 350 children, 191 boys and 159 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 886 (53.96%) males constitute 469 (28.56%) of the population and females 417 (25.40%).

The workforce is 413 male, 237 female with 402 (61.85%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 264 males and 138 females. 207 males and 11 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 24 male and 6 female agricultural labor. 248 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of DHAULPUR and Dholpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
