JENKINS ALUMONA is a boxing promoter and also the incumbent chairman of the Lagos state boxing association[1]. He was also a journalist, sport reporter and television presenter [2]. He is a member Nigeria Institute of Marketing (NIMARK)[3] and also the vice president of Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria[4][3]
Alumona attended Enugu State University of Science and Technology formerly Anambra state university of science and technology where he bagged his first degree in Mass communication and also University of Lagos where he bagged Msc in Marketing[5]
Alumona was a professional sports journalist at The Guardian Newspaper where he was assigned to cover boxing, he also had a stint as a sport reporter at Independent communication Network limited (ICNL).[5] . He was appointed an editor in The News and also co-hosted Master sports (a television sport show) with Paul Bassey and Chris Eseka at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) [5]
Alumona has been in the forefront of reviving boxing as a sport and as a profession in Nigeria through his flykite promotion[6]. He was the brain behind the GOtv Boxing night [1] and also the current chairman lagos state boxing association [7]
