Jhag is a small village of 1298 hectares in Kishangarh Tehsil in Ajmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jhag depends on Kishangarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jhag is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Jhag's pin code is 305814[4], and village code is 02483700. The area of Jhag is segregated as 25 hectares irrigated area, 687 hectares unirrigated, the 520 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 66 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jhag has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Jhag has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Jhag is a census village in the district of Ajmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1067 and has total administration over 194 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Jhag has 171 children, 89 boys and 82 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 333 (31.21%) males constitute 176 (16.49%) of the population and females 157 (14.71%).

The workforce is 275 male, 238 female with 258 (50.29%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 224 males and 34 females. 99 males and 24 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 12 male and 6 female agricultural labor. 255 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kishangarh and Ajmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
