Jhamri is a small village of 521 hectares in Bayana Tehsil in Bharatpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jhamri depends on BAYANA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jhamri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jhamri's pin code is 321028[4], and village code is 01066700. The area of Jhamri is segregated as 465 hectares irrigated area, 14 hectares unirrigated, the 15 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 27 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Jhamri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Jhamri is a census village in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1913 and has total administration over 304 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Jhamri has 354 children, 179 boys and 175 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 656 (34.29%) males constitute 350 (18.30%) of the population and females 306 (16.0%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 39 (2.04%) males constitute 19 (0.99%) of the population and females 20 (1.05%).

The workforce is 499 male, 191 female with 621 (90.0%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 449 males and 172 females. 366 males and 139 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 17 male and 7 female agricultural labor. 69 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BAYANA and Bharatpur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
