Jolana is a small village of 782 hectares in Garhi Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jolana depends on Partapur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Jolana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jolana's pin code is 327034[4], and village code is 03423300. The area of Jolana is segregated as 370 hectares irrigated area, 117 hectares unirrigated, the 244 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 51 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jolana has One post office (Jolana S.O) and Thirty Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Jolana has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Jolana is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4675 and has total administration over 943 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Jolana has 686 children, 350 boys and 336 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 352 (7.53%) males constitute 178 (3.81%) of the population and females 174 (3.72%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 2787 (59.61%) males constitute 1354 (28.96%) of the population and females 1433 (30.65%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2369 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1282 male, 1087 female with 1226 (51.75%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 835 males and 391 females. 406 males and 257 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 45 male and 51 female agricultural labor. 1143 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Partapur and Banswara to sell earthen pot and make their living.
