Jonathan Beaton is an American former journalist and media commentator.[1][2]
He worked for Sinclair Broadcast Group at the WPEC News 12 station for less than a year before leaving in 2014, citing alleged pressure to take a conservative slant on reports.[3] He was sued by Sinclair Broadcast Group for $5,700 in October 2017.[4][5]
In 2018 the Sinclair Broadcast Group dropped their suit against Beaton.[6]
As a journalist, Beaton covered the George Zimmerman trial for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.[7] He worked as a contributor for CNN Headline News and covered the Michelle Parker case, a Florida mother who went missing after appearing on an episode of the People's Court.[8][9][10]
Beaton has also worked for WDBO, WPEC, ABC Radio and provided contributing commentary to CNN and CNN Headline News. [11][12][13][14][15][16][17]
