    Jonathan Jacoby is a social entrepreneur, and authority in U.S. Middle East policy, Israel and American politics[1][2][3][4]. He is currently the director of the Task Force on the Nexus of Antisemitism and Israel in American Politics at the Knight Program in Media and Religion at USC’s Annenberg School[5].

    He is also an advocate for increased research of rare medical diseases[6][4]. He co-founded SOAR-NPC (Support of Accelerated Research for Niemann Pick Disease Type C), a scientific collaboration of families and researchers dedicated to building a pipeline of potential therapeutics for the Niemann Pick Disease, and a founder and chair of the non-profit Hide and Seek Foundation for Lysosomal Disease Research, which funds SOAR-NPC’s mission.[7]

    Career[edit]

    Jonathan was the founding executive director of the New Israel Fund[4]. Later, he served as president of Americans for Peace Now; Executive Director of the Israel Policy Forum; CEO of the R.A.R.E. Project (now Global Genes); and Chief Operating Officer for CollabRX, Inc - an early cloud-based system designed to inform healthcare decision-making[1][8].

    Jonathan has served as Vice President of Programs for Jewish Life at the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, and as the Senior Vice President and Senior Philanthropic Advisor to the CEO the New Israel Fund[4]. He also co-founded the Crossroad Initiative, which works with NGOs in Israel to support the growth of new leadership and the preservation of democratic principles[2].
