Jura is a small village of 192 hectares in Kotra Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Jura depends on Pindwara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Jura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Jura's pin code is 307025[4], and village code is 03103600. The area of Jura is segregated as, 39 hectares unirrigated, the 82 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 71 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Jura is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1337 and has total administration over 288 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Jura has 222 children, 114 boys and 108 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 211 (15.78%) males constitute 109 (8.15%) of the population and females 102 (7.63%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 206 (15.41%) males constitute 110 (8.23%) of the population and females 96 (7.18%).

The workforce is 421 male, 203 female with 309 (49.52%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 284 males and 25 females. 94 males and 3 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 29 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 315 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pindwara and Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
