Kachara is a small village of 619 hectares in Atru Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kachara depends on Baran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 199.03% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kachara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kachara's pin code is 325218[4], and village code is 03885100. The area of Kachara is segregated as 417.51 hectares irrigated area, 112.42 hectares unirrigated, the 55.51 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 33.86 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kachara has One post office (Kachra B.O) and One public telephone. Kachara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kachara is a census village in the district of Baran, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1057 and has total administration over 192 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kachara has 156 children, 75 boys and 81 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 264 (24.98%) males constitute 138 (13.06%) of the population and females 126 (11.92%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 208 (19.68%) males constitute 102 (9.65%) of the population and females 106 (10.03%).

The workforce is 281 male, 232 female with 278 (54.19%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 257 males and 21 females. 171 males and 9 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 53 male and 6 female agricultural labor. 235 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baran to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
