Kachari is a small village of 261 hectares in Atru Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kachari depends on Baran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 186.52% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kachari is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kachari's pin code is 325218[4], and village code is 03885200. The area of Kachari is segregated as 215.16 hectares irrigated area, 1.85 hectares unirrigated, the 27.13 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 16.98 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kachari has One public telephone. Kachari has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Kachari is a census village in the district of Baran, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 735 and has total administration over 124 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 205 (27.89%) males constitute 105 (14.29%) of the population and females 100 (13.61%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 120 (16.33%) males constitute 64 (8.71%) of the population and females 56 (7.62%).

The workforce is 213 male, 222 female with 416 (95.63%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 202 males and 214 females. 191 males and 199 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 3 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 19 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baran to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
