Kachhba is a small village of 364 hectares in Gogunda Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kachhba depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 8.00% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kachhba is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kachhba's pin code is 313705[4], and village code is 03081300. The area of Kachhba is segregated as 43 hectares irrigated area, 150 hectares unirrigated, the 160 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 11 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kachhba has One post office and Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kachhba has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Kachhba is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1431 and has total administration over 326 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kachhba has 230 children, 123 boys and 107 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 89 (6.22%) males constitute 46 (3.21%) of the population and females 43 (3.0%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 556 (38.85%) males constitute 274 (19.15%) of the population and females 282 (19.71%).

The workforce is 363 male, 210 female with 512 (89.35%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 326 males and 186 females. 142 males and 81 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 103 male and 100 female agricultural labor. 61 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
