Kakrana is a small village of 1470 hectares in Udaipurwati Tehsil in Jhunjhunu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kakrana depends on UDAIPURWATI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 253.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kakrana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kakrana's pin code is 333053[4], and village code is 00751500. The area of Kakrana is segregated as 253 hectares irrigated area, 463 hectares unirrigated, the 262 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 93 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kakrana is a census village in the district of Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4817 and has total administration over 756 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kakrana has 755 children, 416 boys and 339 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 302 (6.27%) males constitute 168 (3.49%) of the population and females 134 (2.78%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 114 (2.37%) males constitute 60 (1.25%) of the population and females 54 (1.12%).

The workforce is 1175 male, 1073 female with 1575 (70.06%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1018 males and 557 females. 582 males and 426 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 60 male and 18 female agricultural labor. 673 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of UDAIPURWATI and Jhunjhunu to sell earthen pot and make their living.
