Kaletara is a small village of 821 hectares in Parbatsar Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kaletara depends on Parbatsar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 190.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kaletara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kaletara's pin code is 341512[4], and village code is 01874600. The area of Kaletara is segregated as 190 hectares irrigated area, 508 hectares unirrigated, the 50 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 73.48 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Kaletara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Kaletara is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1377 and has total administration over 272 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kaletara has 181 children, 93 boys and 88 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 345 (25.05%) males constitute 169 (12.27%) of the population and females 176 (12.78%).

The workforce is 350 male, 270 female with 466 (75.16%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 327 males and 139 females. 103 males and 71 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 12 male and 29 female agricultural labor. 154 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Parbatsar and Nagaur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
