Kalmandi Kalan is a small village of 863 hectares in Jhalrapatan Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kalmandi Kalan depends on Jhalrapatan, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 43.93% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kalmandi Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kalmandi Kalan's pin code is 326023[4], and village code is 03998400. The area of Kalmandi Kalan is segregated as 119.81 hectares irrigated area, 257.08 hectares unirrigated, the 33.07 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 96.13 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kalmandi Kalan is a census village in the district of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1571 and has total administration over 308 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 76 (4.84%) males constitute 42 (2.67%) of the population and females 34 (2.16%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jhalrapatan and Jhalawar to sell ghee and make their living.
