Kalmandi Khurd is a small village of 627 hectares in Jhalrapatan Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kalmandi Khurd depends on Jhalrapatan, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 50.59% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kalmandi Khurd is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kalmandi Khurd's pin code is 326023[4], and village code is 04002000. The area of Kalmandi Khurd is segregated as 77.42 hectares irrigated area, 131.5 hectares unirrigated, the 54.29 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 43.8 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jhalrapatan and Jhalawar to sell ghee and make their living.
