Kalri is a small village of 1500 hectares in Rajgarh Tehsil in Churu district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kalri depends on RAJGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kalri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Kalri's pin code is 331301[4], and village code is 00597200. The area of Kalri is segregated as 1259.08 hectares unirrigated, the 131.03 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 110.01 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kalri has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kalri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Kalri is a census village in the district of Churu, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2245 and has total administration over 431 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kalri has 300 children, 159 boys and 141 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 407 (18.13%) males constitute 203 (9.04%) of the population and females 204 (9.09%).

According to a census 2011 report, 1423 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 742 male, 681 female with 1108 (77.86%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 614 males and 494 females. 468 males and 439 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 21 male and 27 female agricultural labor. 315 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of RAJGARH and Churu to sell brick and make their living.
