Kamba is a small village of 2826 hectares in Ahore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kamba depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 47.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kamba is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Kamba's pin code is 307029[4], and village code is 02284300. The area of Kamba is segregated as 159 hectares irrigated area, 1755 hectares unirrigated, the 183.55 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 728 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Kamba has One post office (Kamba B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Kamba has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kamba is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2413 and has total administration over 471 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kamba has 396 children, 221 boys and 175 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 648 (26.85%) males constitute 342 (14.17%) of the population and females 306 (12.68%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 153 (6.34%) males constitute 80 (3.32%) of the population and females 73 (3.03%).

The workforce is 594 male, 560 female with 712 (61.7%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 502 males and 210 females. 134 males and 45 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 154 male and 91 female agricultural labor. 442 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
