Kameri is a small village of 480 hectares in Mandal Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kameri depends on Asind, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 11.65% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Kameri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kameri's pin code is 311803[4], and village code is 02837800. The area of Kameri is segregated as 60 hectares irrigated area, 106.95 hectares unirrigated, the 269.9 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 43.15 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Kameri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kameri is a census village in the district of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 890 and has total administration over 210 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kameri has 147 children, 77 boys and 70 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 90 (10.11%) males constitute 35 (3.93%) of the population and females 55 (6.18%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 141 (15.84%) males constitute 69 (7.75%) of the population and females 72 (8.09%).

According to a census 2011 report, 369 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 170 male, 199 female with 262 (71.0%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 152 males and 110 females. 137 males and 102 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 11 male and 4 female agricultural labor. 107 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Asind and Bhilwara to sell wool and make their living.
