Kanawas is a small village of 379 hectares in Jaitaran Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Kanawas depends on Jaitaran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 26.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Kanawas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Kanawas's pin code is 306001[4], and village code is 02390300. The area of Kanawas is segregated as 37 hectares irrigated area, 186 hectares unirrigated, the 91 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 65 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Kanawas has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Kanawas is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 539 and has total administration over 117 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Kanawas has 75 children, 39 boys and 36 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 103 (19.11%) males constitute 55 (10.20%) of the population and females 48 (8.91%).

The workforce is 141 male, 98 female with 120 (50.21%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 108 males and 12 females. 43 males and 3 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 29 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 119 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jaitaran and Pali to sell earthen pot and make their living.
