Karenda is a small village of 202 hectares in Tijara Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karenda depends on TIJARA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Karenda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Karenda's pin code is 301707[4], and village code is 00798900. The area of Karenda is segregated as 183.04 hectares irrigated area, 13.12 hectares unirrigated, remaining 6.15 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Karenda has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Karenda is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2155 and has total administration over 352 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 185 (8.58%) males constitute 108 (5.01%) of the population and females 77 (3.57%).

The workforce is 562 male, 524 female with 737 (67.86%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 472 males and 265 females. 249 males and 88 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 14 male and 78 female agricultural labor. 349 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of TIJARA and Alwar to sell cot and make their living.
