Karget is a small village of 3429 hectares in Girwa Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karget depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 6.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Karget is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Karget's pin code is 313024[4], and village code is 03161600. The area of Karget is segregated as 52 hectares irrigated area, 152 hectares unirrigated, the 190 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 241 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Karget has One public telephone. Karget has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Karget is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1856 and has total administration over 349 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Karget has 289 children, 150 boys and 139 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 162 (8.73%) males constitute 89 (4.80%) of the population and females 73 (3.93%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 990 (53.34%) males constitute 514 (27.69%) of the population and females 476 (25.65%).

The workforce is 537 male, 175 female with 431 (60.53%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 405 males and 26 females. 52 males and 2 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 165 male and 8 female agricultural labor. 281 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
