Karhi is a small village of 615 hectares in Nadbai Tehsil in Bharatpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karhi depends on Nadbai, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Karhi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Karhi's pin code is 321602[4], and village code is 01015300. The area of Karhi is segregated as 180 hectares irrigated area, 399 hectares unirrigated, the 7 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 29 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Karhi has One post office (Karai B.O) and One public telephone. Karhi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Karhi is a census village in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3241 and has total administration over 499 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Karhi has 518 children, 297 boys and 221 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 975 (30.08%) males constitute 516 (15.92%) of the population and females 459 (14.16%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 38 (1.17%) males constitute 24 (0.74%) of the population and females 14 (0.43%).

The workforce is 877 male, 754 female with 727 (44.57%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 678 males and 49 females. 510 males and 31 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 21 male and 14 female agricultural labor. 904 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nadbai and Bharatpur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
