Karji is a small village of 473 hectares in Kherwara Tehsil in Udaipur district in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karji depends on Kherwara Chhaoni, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Karji is also near by One lake. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Karji's pin code is 313903[4], and village code is 03286500. The area of Karji is segregated as 12 hectares irrigated area, 177 hectares unirrigated, the 81 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 6 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Karji has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Karji is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1030 and has total administration over 189 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 96 (9.32%) males constitute 60 (5.83%) of the population and females 36 (3.50%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 825 (80.10%) males constitute 441 (42.82%) of the population and females 384 (37.28%).

The workforce is 311 male, 256 female with 178 (31.39%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 166 males and 12 females. 54 males are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 29 male and 8 female agricultural labor. 389 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kherwara Chhaoni and Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
