Karji is a small village of 753 hectares in Bagidora Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karji depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 105.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Karji is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Karji's pin code is 327604[4], and village code is 03473400. The area of Karji is segregated as 365 hectares irrigated area, 224 hectares unirrigated, the 3.06 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 154 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Karji has One post office (Karji B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Karji has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Karji is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3360 and has total administration over 673 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Karji has 473 children, 267 boys and 206 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 276 (8.21%) males constitute 157 (4.67%) of the population and females 119 (3.54%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1665 (49.55%) males constitute 805 (23.96%) of the population and females 860 (25.60%).

According to a census 2011 report, 1622 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 871 male, 751 female with 1338 (82.49%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 777 males and 561 females. 578 males and 502 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 9 male and 9 female agricultural labor. 284 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell earthen pot and make their living.
