Karnawa is a small village of 1081 hectares in Desuri Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karnawa depends on Sadri, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Karnawa is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Karnawa's pin code is 306603[4], and village code is 02463700. The area of Karnawa is segregated as 261 hectares irrigated area, 460 hectares unirrigated, the 204 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 156 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Karnawa has Eighteen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Karnawa has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Karnawa is a census village in the district of Pali, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2240 and has total administration over 403 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Karnawa has 360 children, 183 boys and 177 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 618 (27.59%) males constitute 312 (13.93%) of the population and females 306 (13.66%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 30 (1.34%) males constitute 13 (0.58%) of the population and females 17 (0.76%).

The workforce is 642 male, 514 female with 817 (70.67%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 580 males and 237 females. 236 males and 183 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 47 male and 22 female agricultural labor. 339 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sadri and Pali to sell shoes and make their living.
