Karoda is a small village of 638 hectares in Behror Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karoda depends on BEHROR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 109.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Karoda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Karoda's pin code is 301020[4], and village code is 00767200. The area of Karoda is segregated as 217 hectares irrigated area, 118 hectares unirrigated, the 134 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 169 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Karoda has One post office (Karoda B.O) and Three public telephones. Karoda has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Karoda is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2238 and has total administration over 409 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Karoda has 304 children, 164 boys and 140 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 558 (24.93%) males constitute 296 (13.23%) of the population and females 262 (11.71%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 128 (5.72%) males constitute 71 (3.17%) of the population and females 57 (2.55%).

The workforce is 607 male, 563 female with 292 (24.96%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 271 males and 21 females. 95 males and 5 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 3 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 878 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BEHROR and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
