Karwas is a small village of 472 hectares in Kotputli Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Karwas depends on Kotputli, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 193.23% of the total supply, Two tanks, ,"", and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Karwas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Karwas's pin code is 303108[4], and village code is 01446900. The area of Karwas is segregated as 193.23 hectares irrigated area, 160.29 hectares unirrigated, the 62 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 56.23 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Karwas has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Karwas is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1665 and has total administration over 298 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Karwas has 249 children, 125 boys and 124 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 353 (21.20%) males constitute 191 (11.47%) of the population and females 162 (9.73%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 247 (14.83%) males constitute 131 (7.87%) of the population and females 116 (6.97%).

The workforce is 364 male, 176 female with 512 (94.81%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 345 males and 167 females. 165 males and 121 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 62 male and 27 female agricultural labor. 28 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kotputli and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
